Soweto Equestrian Foundation
The Soweto Equestrian Foundation is a not for profit organization which controls, owns and develops the 90 acre Soweto Equestrian Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa. We work hard to improve the welfare of the working cart horses, to train students in equestrian skills and introduce equestrian sports to people who have never before had the opportunity.

The first building phase of the centre is now completed. There are stables, student accommodation, training room, tack room, barn, outdoor arena and paddocks. We need to raise funds to for the day to day running costs of the centre, expand our riding programme and to continue the building programme. Please help and use our secure on line donation area.

The Foundation is registered with the South African Government, has a written constitution  guaranteeing all money raised by the Foundation can only be used for the development and operation of the Soweto Equestrian Centre. The Foundation is chaired by Enos Mafokate, overseen by an elected Board of Directors and has members drawn from a wide range of equestrian, community and business back grounds. The Directors have drawn up a long-term development plan for the Centre, identified the resources required and set the targets for the funds needed to make Enos’ dream a reality
